Loss and love
November 4, 2019
I loved this story! It was well written and told from such a point of view that it felt as if everything was happening to me personally. Ms. Villanella writes in such a warm personal way that it's easy to become one with what you're reading. My measure for good novels is the '4 hankie rule' which means that if you get me crying before I'm halfway through reading it, then I know I'm onto a good story. This story will certainly make you cry and it will make you think as well. Very poignant tale of loss and love. I give this two thumbs up!

This is one of the best books I have ever read
November 17, 2017
This is one of the best books I have ever read, and I do not say that lightly. It reads easily, it is well written, the characters are vivid and the story is very engaging. My only complaint about the book is that it came to an end. I'm hoping this story will have a sequel or maybe become a series? But, seriously, I recommend this book to anyone who wants to be swept away and find themselves watching the story unfold as if they were actually there. It's the type of story you want to read over and over again.

A true organic love story
January 22, 2018
Having never read romantic novels, this one captured the true feeling of pure attraction and was incredibly well written. The mental resiliency sounded familiar and true, and my personal favorite attribute is easily the character development of the protagonist.

First rate work by a first time author
November 18, 2017
A wonderful novel from a first time author (and first rate too, I'd say!). I really loved this story and my only complaint is that it left me wanting more at the end. I think I actually said "Nooooo!" when it ended. But, it left me wanting more and fingers crossed that more does happen. I can agree with the others who reviewed this book about a series. So, how about it, Mia?
In all seriousness though, I could relate to the thoughts of the primary female character in this novel as well as the feelings. I really enjoyed the story and can't wait for the next one, whatever form it takes, whether it's a continuation of these characters or another.
Very well done, Mia!
